Maharashtra is one of India’s leading economic and industrial states, with a major contribution to national GDP, exports and cumulative foreign direct investment. The State’s progress has been supported by policy stability, progressive governance, a strong industrial ecosystem and a large supplier base.
MIDC is the nodal investment promotion agency of the Government of Maharashtra. It facilitates investor interaction with the State Government and provides industrial infrastructure including land, roads, water supply, drainage and streetlights. The Maharashtra Investment Intern programme is intended to attract young talent and provide practical exposure to investment facilitation and public-sector operations.

Job Description
- Develop content and marketing collateral such as state pitch presentations, sector profiles, regional profiles, the State’s competitive profile and investor guides.
- Maintain databases of investors interacting with Government departments and develop follow-up strategies for investor conversion.
- Provide operational support to Government departments and assist country-desk officials for target countries.
- Assist in planning and execution of national-level events such as annual investor summits.
- Support Maharashtra’s participation in national and international forums, trade fairs and conferences.
- Undertake site visits with prospective investors across Maharashtra, whenever required.
- Follow up with prospective investors and companies that have signed MOUs with MIDC and update their status.
- Coordinate with MIDC departments and regional offices to collect information for prospective investors.
- Improve MIDC’s presence on Facebook, LinkedIn, X/Twitter, Instagram and YouTube.
- Ensure smooth flow of information between MIDC departments and knowledge partners appointed by MIDC.
Qualification Criteria
- Nationality and DomicileThe candidate must be an Indian national and meet the applicable domicile requirements.
- Educational Qualification
- MBA with a bachelor’s degree in B.Tech./B.E./B.Com./B.Sc./B.A./BMS/BMM.
- Minimum first class in both MBA and graduation.
- Proficiency in MS Office.
- Proficiency in reading and writing Marathi and English.
- Ability to work in an open and fast-paced environment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Preference Will Be Given To
- MBA candidates specializing in Marketing or Strategy.
- Candidates with at least one year of relevant experience in Marketing, Communication, Content Management, Public Relations, Event Management or a Government department.
- Candidates proficient in German, Korean, Japanese or Mandarin.
- Candidates holding bachelor’s and master’s degrees from UGC-recognized and NAAC-approved universities.
- Age LimitMinimum 21 years and maximum 26 years as on 30 June 2026.
- Reservation
- Total number of interns: 10.
- One-third of the positions will be reserved for female candidates.
- If suitable female candidates are unavailable, male candidates may be considered.

Tenure and Remuneration
The appointment will be for 11 months and will lapse automatically after completion of the tenure from the date of joining. MIDC reserves the right to regulate the tenure in accordance with applicable conditions.
Terms and Conditions
- Any attempt to influence the selection process may result in rejection of candidature.
- After selection, MIDC will conduct police verification, medical certification and document verification.
- The selected candidate must join within one week of issuance of the appointment order, at their own expense.
- The selected candidate will enter into an 11-month internship agreement.
- Interns will not be eligible for medical reimbursement or allowances beyond the approved stipend.
- Service during the agreement period will not count toward monetary or service benefits under any Government department.
- Profession tax will not be deducted from the stipend.
- Interns must follow Corporation rules and attend office as directed.
- During the tenure, an intern shall not undertake any full-time or part-time employment, business or educational course.
- Up to 10 days of casual leave may be availed during the 11-month tenure.
- The internship does not create any right to employment in MIDC or any Government department.
- In case of death or disability during the tenure, remaining remuneration may be paid to the family; no ex-gratia or compassionate appointment will be provided.
- An intern wishing to resign must submit one month’s prior notice to GM (Marketing).
- Information collected or created for MIDC will belong to MIDC and must remain confidential during and after the tenure.
- MIDC may terminate the contract without prior notice for underperformance or indiscipline.
- Any modification or addition to these terms, made in the interest of MIDC, will be binding.
- The selected intern must sign a consent letter accepting these conditions before issuance of the appointment letter.
